Wild Cards: Compound Words

Description

The Compound Words Wild Cards game provides practice in matching and reading words which can be combined to make compound words. The words are all easily decoded using the knowledge of the alphabet and the more common digraphs, making it a useful activity for reinforcing and applying this knowledge.

• It consists of 180 cards – 140 word cards comprised of 230 cards combining to make 115 compound words (e.g., base-ball, foot-print, rain-coat), plus 40 ‘wild cards’ such as pick up a card, miss a turn, skip a player, etc.
