Description
The Split Digraphs Wild Cards game provides practice in distinguishing between words containing short vowels and long vowels made by the split digraphs of a vowel plus an ‘e’ (a-e as in cake, e-e as in Pete, i-e as in kite, o-e as in bone, u-e as in flute).
- It consists of 180 cards – 140 word cards comprised of 70 minimal pairs (e.g., tap-tape, pet-Pete, hop-hope) with one word on each card, plus 40 ‘wild cards’ such as pick up a card, miss a turn, skip a player, etc.
- This game would be particularly useful for those students who are having difficulty learning split digraphs.
