Description
Don’t Tweet is a a fun way for students to practise the 30 most common digraphs.
Players take it in turns to read the digraph on the card. If they are correct, they keep the card. If they are incorrect or don’t know, they have to tweet loudly. They then practise the sound before placing the card at the bottom of the pack.
Alternatively, the player to the left can say the sound for the player to write on a whiteboard.
Although the game uses the same digraphs used in the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 2 program, it can be used independently.
Graphemes covered: ai-rain, a-e-cake, ay-tray, er-flower, ir-girl, ur-church, ar-car, ow-cow, bow, oa-boat, o-e-bone, ea-leaf, ee-tree, oy-boy, i-e kite, oi-coin, or-fork, aw-paw, ou-house, oo-book, moon, y-(yellow), sky, sunny, ew-screw, ch-chick, all-ball, ng-ring, sh-ship, th-three, ck-duck
